South Africans – or most of them – are not very good at driving at traffic circles and roundabouts! This will be confirmed in many conversations and on many social media platforms!
Earlier today the Arrive Alive website received the following message in an email:
The traffic circle situated at the corner of Hertz & Faraday Blvd Vanderbijlpark needs urgent investigation! There is an accident at this circle every single night! The outer buildings of Trevesa court have been knocked down several times in the past 5 weeks, as well as before this!!!
This circle is a danger to the residence and to other road users!!! I can’t sleep at night because I am expecting someone to drive through my flat injuring or killing myself and my family!!! There are no road markings at this intersection (Stop signs, Yield signs or Speed bumps)
Something URGENTLY needs to be done about this intersection, it is causing me STRESS AND SLEEPLESS NIGHTS!!!
WHY NOT GET RID OF THIS CIRCLE AND REPLACE IT WITH TRAFFIC LIGHTS????????????
This has been referred to the RTMC for attention.
