As part of the SAPS safer festive season strategy and the vigilant back to basics approach to policing by members of SAPS Humansdorp, a 37-year-old male suspect was arrested for the possession of suspected stolen goods.
During an intelligence driven operation conducted yesterday, 22 December 2017, at about 14:15, property valued over R30 000-00 were recovered. Thorough investigations by detectives revealed that the property was stolen during several residential burglaries in St Francis Bay. Further investigations will be conducted to reveal if the suspect can be linked to more serious cases. The suspect was arrested on the scene in Beta Street, Kwanomzamo. The suspect is due to appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s court on Wednesday, 27 December 2017 on charges ranging from the possession of suspected stolen goods and possession of housebreaking implements.
