The Automobile Association has a long history of assisting South African motorists when they are stranded and need help. But did you know that the AA also assists those who are not stranded?
Early on Thursday morning, one of the AA’s Super tow trucks assisted Cape Town-based luxury car dealership Crossley & Webb move a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce from Bloemfontein to Umhlanga in KwaZulu-Natal.
“We needed the vehicle moved quickly and it had to be done properly. We are very particular about the services we use and we have to rely on the people with whom we entrust valuable cargo such as this. We’ve used the AA in the past and so going back to them was a natural choice for us,” says Gareth Crossley of Crossley & Webb.
The Lamborghini was purchased by a Durban businessman who prefers to remain anonymous.
The Super tow truck that moved the vehicle is part of the AA’s fleet which comprises the most technologically advanced towing vehicles in South Africa. They have been specially developed using Iveco double cabs and are equipped with Ferrari approved exotic vehicle soft straps that ensure vehicles can be safely transported without any risk of damage.
As part of the service offered by the AA, a comprehensive towing inventory is completed by the driver before the vehicle is moved. This ensures that any vehicle is returned in exactly the same condition it was collected in. The Super tow truck services are offered in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape and North West Provinces.
“Moving a vehicle such as this takes extreme care and you really have to know what you are doing. We are thrilled that Crossley & Webb entrusted this job to us. The same care we have taken with this vehicle we take with all the vehicles we tow and this again proves we offer the best service to all motorists in South Africa,” says the AA.
