Question:

Please, could someone help clear something up…

Our company bought a new Nissan NV350 (minibus taxi) 16 seater vehicle last year and it came with operators card/license. The operators’ card is about to expire and I need advice as to if we actually need it as every person I can find has a different answer.

Our company only uses the vehicle to transport employees to site and back, never any passengers for gain.

Answer:

Any vehicle with 12+ seats must have an annual roadworthy certificate and an operator card.

If the vehicle is designed to transport 12 or more persons including the driver, then a PrDP is required.

If the passengers are transported for reward then a PrDP is required,
And if the gross vehicle mass (GVM) exceeds 3 500kg, then a PrDP is required.
