Earlier this morning we shared the following story on the Arrive Alive road safety website:
An elderly man sustained serious injury after his vehicle smashed through the barriers and landed on the beach at Umdloti.
Details to the cause of the accident are still speculative, but the vehicle after smashing through the barriers came to rest in the shore break.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver of the vehicle to have sustained serious injuries. After he was treated on scene they transported him to the Netcare Umhlanga hospital for the care that he required.
