General Motors South Africa employees braved the cold and rainy weather this morning in aid of the annual Community Chest Winter Woolly Week street collection. This initiative forms part of the company’s We Give Back programme which encourages employees to support the local community.
Ian Nicholls, President and Managing Director of GM Sub-Saharan Africa, was caught in action as he collects money from motorists at the busy intersection of William Moffatt Express Way and Cape Road.
Nicholls was joined by a number of colleagues at various intersections in Port Elizabeth. Close to 50 employees from all levels in the organisation volunteered their time before heading back to the office and the production lines this morning.
