Question:

Hi Could you please help me with a query that was bought to my attention. If a tanker is on the road – what is the case with a fire Extinguisher – It does not contain flammable liquid or any dangerous goods but contains water or milk at the time?

Is it required by law that there has to be a Fire Extinguishers on the truck?

Answer:

There is no requirement for a fire extinguisher if you do not carry dangerous goods. Reg 260 only requires it for passenger vehicles.
