Question:
Hi there! I wanted to find out if my teenager is too young to have a learners license if he can learn to drive on non-public gravel roads?
Is there a legal way for this teenager to start learning how to drive?
Answer:
A person must be at least 17 years to get a learner’s licence.
You may drive on private roads without a driving licence. Please note that most gravel roads are public roads. A private road is a road where the general public does not have the right of access.
