Question:
Is it allowed for a Traffic Officer to take speed by Camera on the opposite side of the road and run across the road to stop you? Also risking my life by asking me to cross over the road on a busy road?
Answer:
Technically the officer is entitled to have a speed camera on the opposite side of the road. I suggest you contact the traffic chief in the area if you have a problem with the safety at a speed trapping site. There is no specific legislation regulating such a situation.
