MIWA hosts successful SpannerTorque Pavilion at Automechanika Johannesburg 2025

by jonckie@arrivealive.co.za

Following the success of our dedicated SpannerTorque Pavilion at Automechanika Johannesburg last year, MIWA once again hosted a special SpannerTorque showcase at this year’s event – and the feedback was fantastic.

Great venue, excellent quality leads, superb networking opportunities, and prominent exposure for the SpannerTorque brand and participating suppliers were the overwhelmingly positive sentiments shared. Automechanika remains the premier networking and business development event for South Africa’s automotive aftermarket, and this level of exposure for our brand and collaborative partners is simply priceless.

We were particularly pleased with the success of our dedicated hospitality lounge, designed to provide a relaxed yet professional environment where MIWA members, suppliers, and industry stakeholders could connect, collaborate, and share insights. Mirroring the approach of global shows, this addition proved to be a major success and will certainly feature again at next year’s event.

A huge thank you goes to our exhibitors who supported the show, including Bosch, EquipTech (distributors of LAUNCH in South Africa), Shell, DRiV, Mahle, GUD, Hella, ATE, and GreenDrive. Each partner brought their latest product innovations, diagnostic solutions, and workshop technologies to the Pavilion, giving visitors hands-on exposure to the tools and systems shaping the future of the aftermarket.

We also extend our appreciation to the MIWA staff members who were onsite throughout the event to manage the Pavilion and assist with member and visitor queries.
Since its launch in 2024, SpannerTorque has evolved into a recognised platform for engagement, education, and innovation. Regularly featured in our national communications and showcased at flagship Motor Mech events across the country, it has become a valuable channel for highlighting the cutting-edge products and technical advancements that support South Africa’s independent workshops.

SpannerTorque was developed to bring our members closer to the solutions and technologies shaping the aftermarket. Automechanika 2025 provided the ideal stage to extend that engagement, giving members an opportunity to connect directly with our partners while enabling those partners to engage with a wider membership base and key aftermarket stakeholders.

Automechanika is more than just an exhibition – it’s a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, relationship building, and brand exposure. For MIWA, the Pavilion not only underscored our commitment to supporting the growth and professionalism of our members, but also strengthened our partnerships with the key suppliers driving innovation in the sector.
