The Detectives at SAPS Pietermaritzburg are making an urgent appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of the person photograph below. We believe that the person can assist Police with information regarding an alleged fraudulent incident that occurred at a car dealership in the city in February 2014.
It is alleged that on Tuesday, 4 February 2014, a man, pretending to be a financial manager, approached a car dealership along Pietermaritz Street, produced various financial documents with an identity document, stating his name as that of being ‘Gugulethu Dannyboy Mnguni”, and purchased a Silver Toyota Fortuner to the value of R403 310-10. Upon processing the paperwork the dealer noticed that the particulars on the documents were false and immediately contacted the Police. Up to date the man could not be traced. He is believed to be from the Johannesburg area.
