The special operations team from Marshall Security assisted Tracker SA and the South African Police Services with the successful recovery of two stolen motor vehicles this morning.
The first vehicle, a Suzuki SUV, was reported stolen during a house robbery in Lagoon Drive in Umhlanga Rocks during the early hours of the morning.
The Marshall Security SOT and the SAPS K9 Unit spotted the vehicle in the Amaoti area and a high speed chase ensued, with the suspect losing control of the vehicle and smashing into a building. The suspect managed to free himself from the wreckage and fled on foot in an unknown direction. An extensive search of the area was conducted, however the suspect remains at large.
In a separate incident, a Tracking signal was found for an Isuzu single cab bakkie in the Ndwedwe area. After a brief search, the vehicle was found abandoned off a dirt road.
Both vehicles were secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
