Stolen Motorbike Recovered, Verulam

A Honda VFR 400 motorbike that was stolen from Himalaya Drive in Everest Heights was recovered abandoned on Mission Road, Verulam.

Reaction Officers were called out to the home this morning after the motorbike was found to be stolen. Upon arrival the owner explained that he had parked it on the property at approximately 21:00 and left to visit a friend in Cottonlands – Verulam. When he returned home at 02:30 he discovered his bike had been stolen. Officers conducted a search for the stolen bike however it could not be located.

This morning Reaction Unit South Africa received a call from a resident on Mission Road in Umdloti Heights reporting an abandoned motorbike lying on the side of the road. Reaction Officers proceeded to the location provided and upon arrival interviewed residents in the area. It was established that two Indian males in a silver vehicle were seen attempting to set the bike alight. After failing to burn the motorbike both individuals fled the scene.

The motorbike was handed back to the owner.
