Suzuki Auto SA recalls 2000 vehicle to address wing mirrors

by jonckie@arrivealive.co.za

Suzuki SwiftSuzuki Auto SA will recall about 2 000 cars as part of a global recall to address wing mirrors that may start to rattle. About 280 000 vehicles are affected worldwide.

SX4 and Swift models produced between 2007 and 2009 are affected and Suzuki Auto SA told Wheels24 all customers would be contacted directly to arrange the repair.

Suzuki Auto SA’s Megan McDonald said: “The recall is not safety critical, at all. Three screws at the back of the side mirrors need to be replaced because vibrations could cause the screws to loosen. This may cause the mirrors to rattle.”

No incidents have been reported and the replacement of the screws should take no more than 30 minutes, McDonald added.
