Just after midnight on Monday morning, whilst on a routine patrol of the South Beach area, Ensure Security Urban Regeneration Teams noticed a male suspect breaking into a parked motor vehicle before fleeing on foot.
Our tactical response officers immediately persued the suspect successfully apperehending him.
The man was found in possession of property stolen from the motor vehicle and was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
This again serves to reiterate our commitment to zero tolerance on criminal activities in the Durban Central Business District and surrounding areas.
