Three arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle by SAPS Highway Patrol in Tshwane

Vigilance by members of the SAPS Highway Patrol in Tshwane resulted in the arrest of three suspects, aged between 32 and 34, in Soshanguve yesterday, 3 January 2021 for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The SAPS members were out patrolling along the R80 highway when they identified a Toyota Etios and attempted to do a stop-and-search, but the suspects sped off and a high-speed chase ensued. The SAPS members swiftly intercepted the suspects’ vehicle in Soshanguve.

Further investigation revealed that the Toyota Etios is positively linked to a stolen motor vehicle case reported at Brooklyn SAPS; the suspects were subsequently arrested
