Kraaifontein SAPS members arrested two suspects both aged 40 for possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Thursday, 11 February 2021 in Sweleni Street, Wallacedene, Kraaifontein.
The members followed up information received from the public of a stolen white Toyota Corolla driving in Wallacedene. At around 18:00 they noticed the vehicle standing in Swelini Street, with two occupants. When tested the vehicle was reported stolen on Monday evening, (2021-02-09) in Atlantis. It was confiscated and the two occupants were arrested and detained at Kraaifontein SAPS on a charge of possession of the presumed stolen property. It was later discovered that the one arrested suspect is a police member attached to Harare SAPS.
Both suspects will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court on Monday 15 February 2021.
