Vehicle recovered that was reported stolen from the Groenkloof area

A coordinated response by SAPS Brooklyn, Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Northern Corridor), Brooklyn CPF, Hatfield CID, and several private security companies led to the recovery of a White Toyota Yaris that had been reported stolen from the Groenkloof area.

Members spotted the stolen vehicle in the Brooklyn area, where the suspect attempted to flee through the streets of Brooklyn and Hatfield, ultimately causing a crash in Colbyn.

The suspect was detained on the scene. Upon searching the suspect and the vehicle, officers discovered a signal jamming device along with vehicle-breaking tools.
