On Sunday 2017/08/13 at approximately 14:20 Marshall Security were alerted via our SNIPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera systems, of a stolen motor vehicle in our area.
The details of the vehicle, a dark grey Volkswagen Polo, was circulated to all Marshall Security vehicles in the area whilst our emergency contact centre liaised with 10 111. The vehicle was spotted in the Greenwood Park area and with the assistance of the South African Police Services, the vehicle was brought to a stop.
The vehicle in question matches that of a VW Polo wanted on a theft case from the Kokstad area earlier this year.
The vehicle and driver were taken into the custody of the SAPS for further investigation and processing.
