Recent heavy rains in Gauteng have flooded many roads. In the social media we have shared many of these pics and I remember one of those capturing a vehicle in the middle of such a river with a big red “L” in the back window!

It is also important to remember the warning from the Ombudsman that car insurance may not cover the damage caused to the engine by driving through deep water.
Always remember – If you cannot see the surface – it is better not to drive!!
