What does the law say when speed is reduced but there is not further speed sign?

Question:

Please help!! What does the law say? If you are travelling on a national road with a speed limit of 120 km/h and you see a sign saying 80 km/h because you are passing a rural school. My question is what does the law say when you never encounter another sign saying the speed is 120 km/h again?

The road I am thinking of has a section of about 1 km between two 80 km/h traffic signs on opposite sides of the road but on neither side you see a sign telling you the speed limit is back to 120 km/h. Now they have speed traps far away from this section (sometimes more than 3 km) and handing out traffic violations for exceeding the speed limit of 80 km/h. What does the law say?

Answer:

The lower speed limit will apply until it is changed again. If there is an intersecting road and the lower limit is not posted after the intersection the general speed limit will apply.  60 km/h – urban areas, 100 km/h roads outside urban areas that are not freeways and 120km/h on freeways.
