Where in the vehicle will my child be safest?

by [email protected]

Question:

Good afternoon. My son is 11weeks and i need to know what i should do if i have to drive a long distance. I cant put the child in the back of the car cause it is only us two. can i put the child in the front facing the back?

Answer:

You can have your child on the front seat as long as his baby seat is rear facing and you have de-activated the airbag. Drive at a lower speed and take a break every 2 hours. It will be good for him too to get out and stretch a bit. Soothing music also helps to keep him calm. If you do need to attend to him, pull over where it is safe first. Children, especially new babies, can be a huge distraction when driving.

Keep well my friend

Much love
