Am I allowed to tow a 7feet trailer with a 1.4 engine capacity vehicle?

Can u please advise me if the law allows one to tow a 7feet trailer with a 1.4 engine capacity vehicle.

Answer:

There are two provisions that apply. The combination of vehicles may not be longer than 22 metres and you are not allowed to load the vehicle over the gross combination mass. If you are going to put goods on the trailer and it exceeds the mass it will be illegal. You will have a very small load capacity with such a small bakkie
