Ford Passenger Car Sales Surge in February 2018

“The February 2018 sales figures prove that the new vehicle market remains under pressure. With the government announcing a broad spectrum of tax increases, including VAT set to climb to 15% from April, we expect this to impact new vehicle sales for the remainder of the year. Ford had a great month in terms of passenger car sales, with all our models gaining ground over January. Significant upgrades at the Silverton Assembly Plant have resulted in a slow ramp up of Ranger production this year, but we expect this to normalise over the coming weeks.
