MasterDrive successfully launched their TrackMaster Performance and Track Driving Academy powered by Mustang. The programme launched last week at Red Star Raceway where drivers had the opportunity to take the performance cars to their max while learning how to be in full control of the vehicle with an instructor by their side.
The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the day was a feat that the team looks forward to emulating soon. “It is a privilege to show drivers how to take their vehicles to the max with all the advantages that come with track time. For many people this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to both let loose on a racetrack while learning about the best way to get the maximum out of your performance vehicle.
“The launch of the Academy last week provided the chance to do this using the TrackMaster Mustangs. Drivers of their own Mustangs also used the opportunity to take their own vehicles around the track. It was both an enjoyable and insightful day that the entire team looks forward to hosting again soon.”
The importance of the Academy cannot be understated. “Driving a performance vehicle is somewhat different to that of your everyday car. If you are a driver of a performance vehicle or aspire to drive one, learning how to get the most out of that vehicle and about what exactly makes it different from your regular car is an essential part of being the owner of a performance car.
“Learning about this difference and having the opportunity to take the car to its limit, that one wouldn’t ordinary experience during their daily travels, is something that TrackMaster hopes to give to drivers. The entire team looks forward to hosting more track days,” says Herbert.
The day successfully concluded with the awarding of certificates to the fastest lap time as well as certificates of
