One person was injured following a drive by shooting on the M25 near the Ntuzuma Court in Ntuzuma a short while ago.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from a member of public reporting the incident. Upon arrival it was established that while travelling on the highway a white Audi pulled up next to a Toyota Corolla with two occupants and opened fire on the vehicle with high calibre rifles. The Audi then sped off from the scene.
A passenger in the Toyota Corolla, who suffered a gun shot wound to his arm and chest, fled to a nearby business premises were he sought assistance. Paramedics from a private ambulance service treated the man for his injuries before transporting him to hospital.
It is alleged that the shooting was taxi related however this has yet to be confirmed.
