One person has been lucky to have been left with minor injuries only after two heavy duty vehicles collided on the N2, south bound near Westwood Mall this afternoon.
Reports from the scene suggest that one of the vehicles was broken down and stationary in the emergency lane, when the other collided with it at high speed.
The man believed to be in his forties sustained minor injury and was treated on scene before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
Traffic was severely affected as the left hand lane remained closed to traffic whilst emergency services worked to clear the scene.
