Shortly after 07:00 on Saturday, Marshall Security North Coast were alerted to a theft of motor vehicle which had occurred at a popular beach in the Salt Rock area. The vehicle in question, a Peugeot 208 was stolen whilst the owner was enjoying a morning surf.
The vehicle was fitted with a satellite tracking device monitored by Tracker and a signal was found in the Kwamashu area north of Durban. Information was liaised between the Marshall Security North Coast and Durban North branches and the Marshall Security Special Operations Team was activated.
After a brief tracking period, the vehicle was found abandoned in the E section of Kwamshu, where it was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
