Taxi driver speeds off after crashing into Porsche in Orange Grove

EMER-G-MED’s M01 and I01 are on the scene of a collision on the corners of Louis Botha and Osbourne, in Orange Grove.

It was reported by witnesses that the Porsche was directed by the pointsman to cross the intersection, when a taxi failed to stop and collided with the Porsche. The taxi then fled the scene.

One person from the Porsche sustained minor injuries and was transported by I01 to a nearby hospital.

JMPD were on-scene to investigate a case of reckless and negligent driving, as well as hit and run.
