Question:
If I am at a zebra crossing with traffic lights and the lights are red, but there are no people crossing or the people are finished crossing, do I need to wait until the light turns green to drive or can I go when it is safe to do so?
I seem to remember from my driving test that I may drive, but would be grateful for your confirmation.
Answer:
Must wait until the light turns green, unless it is a FLASHING red light, in which case, if the crossing is clear as described, with no pedestrians approaching the crossing, you may move off carefully and safely.
