The South African Police women and their Zimbabwean counterparts conducted a joint operation on Friday 06 December 2019 at Beitbridge border post. The operation commenced in the early hours of the morning and it yielded positive results. The Provincial Head of the POCC Brigadier Mangena led the operation from the South African side. The following activities were embarked upon and successes achieved:
• 75 undocumented foreign nationals were arrested.
• 04 wanted suspects for Attempted Murder, Assault GBH were arrested.
• 04 arrested for public drinking.
• 05 suspects were arrested for possession of copper wire.
• 17 bags full of copper wire were confiscated.
• 03 suspects were arrested for possession of illicit cigarettes
• 09 gallons full of illicit cigarettes were confiscated.
• 02 motor vehicles were impounded
