I would like to know why the goverment has decided to put the PDP on the drivers license.Now we as drivers are mostly the main bread winners of a house hold,must pay for a drivers license that didn’t expire according to the law.PDP renewals is done every two years, so our license will never expire but must fork out license renewal fees everytime one has to renew one’s PDP.I will walk with two card if have to.This is an outrage that the working class must be ripped off like this.
I don’t know if i am at the right person but maybe you can direct me to this person so that i can take it up with him/her.

Answer:
The incorporation of a PrDP into the driving licence card is not only a good idea, but makes perfect sense for both the driver concerned and law enforcement authorities wishing to establish whether a person who’s driving is actually authorised to do so. The practical advantages are therefore quite obvious.
There are distinctly separate charges for the renewal of a Professional Driving Permit and a renewal of a card driving licence and these are completely separate. The fee for a PrDP renewal includes the production fee for the driving licence card.
The notion of a person being charged for an annual renewal of a PrDP and simultaneously being charged for a new card driving licence is not only supposedly impossible on the eNaTIS system, but would be tantamount to fraud on the part of the licensing authority.
If this has happened to Mr H, please let me know full details so I can take it up directly at the Department of Transport and have them investigate the licensing authority concerned. If however, this is a misunderstanding on the part of Mr Hawkins, then this is all a storm in a teacup.
