Question:
Do I need a special permit/licence to drive an Can Am Spyder trike on south African freeways or hiways?
I do have a licence for the bike and my drivers licence is code “A”. Thanks
Answer:
Currently not. If the tricycle has an engine with a CC exceeding 500 it will be allowed in future once the Minister has implemented an amendment that is already part of the National Road Traffic Regulations but not in force yet.
