On Monday 17 March 2025 at 22:30, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Intervention Unit Officers, recovered the abandoned blue Volkswagen Polo TSI in the Cloverdene area.
While performing law enforcement, Officers received information about a reported hijacked vehicle. Officers acted swiftly and responded in tracking the location of the said vehicle.
The vehicle was found abandoned on Botswana Street in the Cloverdene area, All role players were summoned to the scene for further investigation as the owner opened a case docket at the Daveyton Police Station. No arrests have been made.
