A white Toyota Hilux 3.0 D4D double cab bakkie that was stolen from a gym in Ballito was recovered on Soccer Road in Waterloo, Verulam today (Thursday).
At approximately 13:27 members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were on patrol in Umhlanga when the vehicle’s tracking device began emmiting signals. Reaction Officers tracked the vehicle to Waterloo and recovered it abandoned on Soccer Road in Waterloo. The bakkie was still idling. The ignition was damaged and several panels from the inside of the vehicle was striped. The number plates were also changed.
A search was conducted for the suspects however they still remain at large.
