Stop and searches conducted in Soweto for a Safer Festive Season

Gauteng: Soweto East SAPS Cluster in conjunction with the Johannesburg Metro Police conducted a #SaferFestiveSeason #Back2Basics stop and search operation yesterday, 15 November 2016.

The primary focus the operation is to make sure that the community of Soweto feel safe, criminal activities are reduced as well as to reclaim the streets from the criminals. Members of the community welcomed the efforts taken by all officers involved.

The Soweto East Cluster commander, Major General Patricia Rampota, applauded the diligence and commitment of all law enforcement agencies involved.
