South African golfer, Thriston Lawrence, and Peugeot South Africa share one major thing in common: winning in 2021. The relative newcomer to the DP World Tour, Lawrence won the season opener at Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg on just his 22nd DP World Tour appearance.
Lawrence, Peugeot, and Stellantis dealer Westvaal Menlyn started their partnership five years ago on the Sunshine Tour, the French brand and local golfer sharing a common approach to their respective games: bring fresh talent or product to their space and start winning.
Peugeot has one of the freshest product ranges on the local market, having updated some 80% of their passenger car range this year alone. Not to mention their latest introduction of the Peugeot Landtrek that puts the brand back into the pick-up market.
The brand has also been on a winning streak, the Peugeot 2008 SUV being named the SA Car of the Year as well as the most-admired motor company by the SA Guild of Mobility Journalists.

The victory provides Lawrence a permanent place on the DP World Tour next year and elevates the South African firmly onto the global golfing scene. He can now proudly represent South African golf at the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews.
