On Monday, 28 May 2018, two suspects are expected to appear in the Mmabatho and Zeerust Magistrates’ Courts for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle and car-hijacking respectively.
This is after the pair was arrested on Friday, 26 May 2018. The first suspect who is a mechanic, was arrested in Magogwe Tar village. That was after the police followed up on information and found him in possession of a Nissan Tilda. The said vehicle was hijacked in Zeerust on Saturday, 19 May 2018.
Further investigation led the police to Makhubung village where the second suspect was apprehended for car-hijacking.
