Vehicle recovered and suspects arrested with the assistance of Vumacam’s LPR network and shared critical intelligence

Following a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert, a hijacked vehicle was loaded onto the Vumacam system for monitoring. Gauteng Department of e-Government operators identified the vehicle’s movements through Vumacam’s LPR network and shared critical intelligence, including the latest hit information and a reference image, with law enforcement teams on the ground.

Armed with real-time intelligence, officers intercepted and recovered the hijacked vehicle along the M1, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
