Good day, I would like to know which License is required to drive a 150CC Moped? 2. If you don’t have any license, can you buy and register that moped from a dealer without a license and then you do a license later. Lastly, if you have a Code 10 license for vehicles, can you drive a moped with it?
Answer:
A licence most certainly is required to ride a 150cc motorcycle – whether it is a moped, scooter or regular motorcycle. Since its engine capacity you refer to is over 125cc, at a minimum you would require a code A learner’s licence to ride it on your own which carries the restriction that you may not carry a pillion (passenger). Should you wish to carry a pillion, then you will need a full code A driving licence, for which a practical test must be passed.
