JOHANNEBURG – Mitsubishi Motors Bedfordview has been awarded the prestigious Overall Dealer of the Year title in the brand’s annual dealer evaluation and awards program, recognising its outstanding performance and commitment to excellence across all areas of the business.
The Mitsubishi Motors Dealer of the Year Awards recognise the dealerships and dealership personnel who have most effectively represented the brand across a wide range of operational areas. The awards evaluate and celebrate outstanding performance over the past year, measuring excellence across multiple dealership functions and categories.
“While receiving an award is an important recognition for our dealers, the real purpose of Dealer of the Year is to continuously raise the standard across our network. Ultimately, it is about ensuring that every Mitsubishi customer receives the level of service and experience we want our brand to stand for,” says Francois Gultig, General Manager, Sales and Operations, Mitsubishi Motors South Africa.
Dealerships are evaluated on aspects that include sales volume, achieving sales targets, parts, after sales service and customer satisfaction.

A high-performing dealer network is essential to the continued growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term success of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa,” said Steven Terblans, General Manager: Aftersales at Mitsubishi Motors SA.
“We sincerely appreciate the dedication, resilience, and hard work demonstrated by our dealer network over the past year, particularly in navigating the challenging and often disruptive market conditions they continue to face,” added Terblans.
In addition to a variety of evaluation criteria, dealership categories A, B and C are based on the size and location of the facility.
Mitsubishi Motors The Glen walked away with the honours in the Dealer of the Year competition in Category A, Mitsubishi Motors Bedfordview won Category B and Mitsubishi Motors George were the top performing dealer in Category C.
In the sales category of the year by total sales volumes Mitsubishi Motors Menlyn came out tops in category A, Mitsubishi Motors Bedfordview was the top performer in category B and Mitsubishi Motors Bela Bela sold the most vehicles in category C.
In the sales category, which is judged on percentage of sales target, Mitsubishi Motors East Rand was the best performer in Category A, Mitsubishi Motors Midrand outperformed its rivals in Category B and Mitsubishi Motors Bronkhorstspruit was the leader in Category C.
The best performing parts department went to Mitsubishi Motors Pinetown in Category A, Mitsubishi Motors Windhoek in Category B and Mitsubishi Motors Clearwater in Category C.
After Sales Service awards were clinched by Mitsubishi Motors Port Elizabeth in Category A, Mitsubishi Motors Bedfordview in Category B and Mitsubishi Motors Secunda in Category C.
Mitsubishi Motors East London, Mitsubishi Motors Midrand, and Mitsubishi Motors Menlyn were each presented with a Gold Award in recognition of their outstanding performance and successful achievement of Gold Status, reflecting their compliance with Mitsubishi Motors’ Dealer Operating Standards and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Mitsubishi’s regional partners contribute significantly to the brands success at the bottom of Africa and Mitsubishi Motors Mozambique was the best performing dealership in terms of sales while Mitsubishi Motors Malawi outperformed the regional dealers in the dealer sales percentage to target category.
The Diamond Service Awards for National and International CSI were awarded to Zoleka Mabuza (Mitsubishi Motors Secunda), Ntokozo Masondo (Mitsubishi Motors Pietermaritzburg), and Jan Lottering (Mitsubishi Motors Menlyn). The three recipients distinguished themselves by achieving the highest customer satisfaction performance ratings across the Mitsubishi Motors dealer network in South Africa, as measured through both the manufacturer’s international CSI standards and Mitsubishi Motors SA’s local CSI program.
